We gave away over 500 copies of What Has Government Done to Our Money? and hundreds of pamphlets by Ron Paul, Joe Salerno, Guido Hülsmann, Murray Rothbard, and Ludwig von Mises, educating attendees on inflation, Marxism, and socialism.

Mises Book Clubs

Dr. Paul Cwik led a Mises Book Club at the University of Mount Olive. Participants discussed Ludwig von Mises’s Economic Policy: Thoughts for Today and Tomorrow. Here’s what some of the participants had to say about their experience:

  • “The Mises Book Club has been an enriching experience, offering a unique platform to delve into and discuss the profound economic ideas of Ludwig von Mises. This club is invaluable for students and scholars seeking to expand their understanding of economic policy.”  — Khalid Dubas

  • “I found the most important aspect of the Mises Book Club to be the opportunity to analyze and discuss the teachings of Mises with other interested students.”  — Nathan Lassiter

George Pickering led a Virtual Mises Book Club focusing on Murray Rothbard’s Egalitarianism as a Revolt Against Nature and Other Essays. Here’s what the students had to say about their experience:

  • “At the Mises Book Club, people discover that they are not alone in their interest in liberty, peace, and the Rothbardian philosophy.”  — Leon Isidoro Maehlum Rykkja, Facultad de Teología San Isidoro

  • “The Mises Book Club was one of the highlights of my week, I already miss it! My daytime studies are in a completely different field, and so it was very awesome to be able to step into engaging discussions on libertarian theory for an hour a week. I am so grateful to have been able to listen and even partake in such a level of discussion.” — Ludovico Lumicisi, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet

New Publication

The lectures World at War by Ralph Raico have been transcribed and annotated into a book by Edward W. Fuller. To understand war, you also have to understand economics. Recorded in 1983, it remains perhaps the best introduction to the classical liberal interpretation of the two world wars of the twentieth century. Available in the Mises Bookstore and on Amazon.

Mises Around the World

Mises Club Denmark held their second meeting on August 25.

The Mises Institute Korea funded Korean translations of Why Austrian Economics
Matters by Llewellyn H. Rockwell Jr., The Essential von Mises by Murray N. Rothbard, and The Ethics of Liberty by Murray N. Rothbard to help spread the message of liberty in South Korea.
