The Land of the Not So Free
Young Americans for Liberty at Syracuse University will be hosting Mises Institute President Jeff Deist and Political Commentator Julie Borowski for a panel discussing the social, medical, and economic impacts of the War on Drugs.
The United States has 5% of the world’s population, but 25% of the world’s prison population. Medical Marijuana has shown positive effects on multiple diseases and disorders. Legalizing marijuana in Colorado created over 18,000 full-time jobs, and added about 2.4 billion to the state’s economy in 2015 (Marijuana Policy Group). Have we already lost the War on Drugs?
Join us for this exclusive panel to learn and think critically on one of our nation’s most polarizing issues. This event will be taking place at Maxwell Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Thursday, April 20.
