Mises.org is the Mises Institute’s front door, the worldwide portal to the largest Austrian and libertarian library on the planet. As Forbes points out, the Mises Institute is a heavyweight in the online and social media world, generating more traffic than many freedom-minded organizations with much larger budgets. Mises.org was one of the first economics web sites in the world, and it remains one of the most visited, robust, and in-depth academic sites on the web. Our traffic is four times that of the American Economic Association, for example.
The new mises.org is not just a renovation of the old site, but rather a wholly new platform that will serve as the foundation from which we can adopt new innovations in web design, social media, mobile technology, and more. Yes, we have a new look, but the real changes are “under the hood.”
As always, one of our top goals is to make both the classics of Austrian literature and the latest libertarian books available free (via pdf and html files) or at very low cost (via ebook formats). We also host an enormous number of free articles, blog posts, speeches, videos, and audio files. The new mises.org will reflect this goal by offering more content than ever before, enough for a lifetime of learning.
