Bringing the Truth

Who are they? People just like you. People who happen to care deeply about human liberty and human flourishing. People who care about real economics. People who oppose state power, central banks, and war. People who care about truth and honest history.

They come from all walks of life. Some give $20, some give more. But they are all people like you, people who understand the threat statism poses to our world.

The Mises Institute is not funded by government grants or wealthy foundations with agendas. That’s why we need you.

The Institute is unique. We attack the state, the political class, and their crony clients—without exception and without apology. We win new hearts and minds, year after year. We reach more people than some DC organizations with ten times our budget.

When someone is exposed to the ideas of Mises, Rothbard, and the Austrian School, there’s no looking at the world the same way again.

So imagine what we could do with your help.

We are the alternative to today’s universities, which Mises called “nurseries of socialism.” We teach people of all ages, from all walks of life, from all across the world. Mises.org reaches nearly five million people, far more than most economics sites. Our summer university and fellowships help launch people like Peter Klein, Tom Woods, Patrick Newman, Per Bylund, and Bob Murphy. Our publications reach hundreds of thousands. Our conferences draw radical scholars from across the world.

We need more people to help. We need you. Join us (or renew your Membership) today. A recurring gift of $5 will make you a 2025 Friend of the Institute. Donating $100 (or $9 per month) will make you a 2025 Member.

Donate this week and receive a print copy of Murray Rothbard’s classic book, Anatomy of the State.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
