Actually, it is just the opposite. Earlier today Declan McCullagh reported that a new expanded version of the DMCA is being promoted through the halls of Congress. The usual suspects (RIAA, MPAA) are hailing it as an improvement in protecting their vested interests, however for everyone else it will be as fun as getting poison ivy on your sunburned legs.
One wonders when merely referencing a copyrighted work will be deemed a DMCA violation.
