John Perkins’s Confessions of an Economic Hit Manthe story of the dangerous relationship between economic consultants, US banks and corporations, the IMF, and the US military empire—has been on the New York Times bestseller list and is currently #14 on Amazon.com.

It was published November 2004.

LRC this morning runs a reprint of an interview with the author.

The reviews on Amazon are almost universally positive, so it appears to be a compelling read. I’ve ordered it, and I would be curious about anyone’s thoughts on the book. It will likely be all over the college book stores in the Fall, if only because it feeds fashionable anti-globalist views on the left and right. On the other hand, there also seems to be potential here for Austro-libertarian analytics...
