Virgin has cure for bad dates:

With Valentine’s Day looming, a mobile phone company in Australia has come to the rescue with a service offering an escape from the date from hell. All a person has to do is discreetly dial three numbers and then hang up without saying a word. “Virgin Mobile will call them back a minute later with a perfect excuse to get them out of there. We’ll even talk them through what to say,” the company, a joint venture of the Virgin Group and Optus, said in a statement.

Reminiscent of the early ‘90s, when you could page yourself in the middle of a boring or awkward meeting with similar messages.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
