America's Cold War relationships have created conditions for very hot wars to take place. The current war in Ukraine is part of that sorry Cold War legacy.
Daren Epstein
Daren A. Epstein (Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army Retired) is a private writer and thinker. He served in the United States Army from 1988-2010 as enlisted Infantry, Field Artillery Officer, and Strategist. He was stationed in Germany, in Operation Desert Storm (1991) as a Fire Support Officer in an Infantry Company, commanded a Field Artillery Battery (MLRS) in the Republic of Korea, was Strategist and Chief of Plans at United States Forces, Japan, and concluded his career as the Speechwriter to the Commander, United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea. He received his commission from the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School and is a graduate of Auburn University and the Naval Postgraduate School (MA - National Security Affairs).
