James Seaton

James Seaton teaches English at Michigan State. His current projects include editing two books: a forthcoming volume on George Santayana in the “Renewing the Western Tradition” series from Yale University Press and A Political Companion to Willa Cather for the University Press of Kentucky. Seaton is the author of Cultural Conservatism, Political Liberalism: From Criticism to Cultural Studies, and A Reading of Vergil’s Georgics. He is also the coeditor of Beyond Cheering and Bashing: New Perspectives on the Closing of the American Mind.
