Randall G. Holcombe

Randall G. Holcombe is an Associated Scholar of the Mises Institute, and DeVoe Moore Professor of Economics at Florida State University. He is past President of the Public Choice Society and past President of the Society for the Development of Austrian Economics. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Virginia Tech and taught at Texas A&M University and Auburn University prior to coming to Florida State. Dr. Holcombe is Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute, Senior Fellow at the James Madison Institute, and Research Fellow at the Law & Economics Center at George Mason University. He is the author of more than 200 articles in academic journals and more than 20 books. His books include Political Capitalism (2018), Liberty in Peril (2019), and Following Their Leaders: Political Preferences and Public Policy (2023).
