From the American Forces Press Services comes news of continuing progress in the campaign to round up enemies of the occupation authority: “the 101st detained an individual for making counterfeit Iraqi dinar. The unit, according to a CENTCOM release, found rolls of magnetic security bands, three sheets of 10,000 Iraqi dinar, an automatic number machine, a press machine and a computer with money software.”
And the rebuilding continues: “Marines are helping to rebuild a women’s center in Ad Diwaniyah, according to a CENTCOM release. The cleanup included loading rocks, bricks, broken glass and other large debris – as well as weeds, grass, paper and smaller trash – into trucks and hauling the material away. Once the building is clean, a contractor will renovate the interior. This should take 30 to 45 days to complete and cost about $99,000, reported CENTCOM. The center, stated the release, will be a place for women to go and relax or where mothers can drop off their children for a little while.”
