TaxProf Blog reports that former Attorney General John Ashcroft joins the ranks of the law professorate on July 1, 2005 as Distinguished Professor of Law and Government at Regent University School of Law. From Regent’s press release:
Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft will serve Regent University in its new Center for Law and Justice beginning July 1, 2005, as a Distinguished Professor of Law and Government. In his new role, Ashcroft will teach law and government courses....Ashcroft is the second major politician to recently join a law faculty this year: former Senator and Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards accepted a faculty position at the University of North Carolina (blogged here).
